D O T
On November 10, 2017, the US Department of Transportation (DOT) published new regulations that modify 49 CFR Part 40 of DOT (Part 40) drug testing programs. This change became effective January 1, 2018 and applies to all DOT agencies. The final ruling aligns the DOT panel with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) panel change that went into effect on October 1, 2017 mandating that DOT drug testing regulations must remain in harmony with the DHHS Mandatory Guidelines per Section 503 of the Supplemental Appropriations Act, 1987, U.S.C. 7301, and Executive Order 12564.
